Covid 19 Our Response

The global pandemic has had, and will continue to have a devasting impact around the world.

Throughout Trade Right International has focussed on two things: our team and our social responsibility.

Following the regulatory updates from government and also scientific advice, we are constantly reviewing and ensure our  our team are kept up to date on social distancing and safe working methods.

Meet some of our Covid 19 Response Team

The COVID-19 pandemic illustrates how agile and responsive TRI can be.

Within four weeks of Scotland going into lockdown, while many businesses and social enterprises furloughed staff, we totally transformed our operation, formed new partnerships, and turned to supporting NHS Scotland and other public services to assist in the supply of hand sanitiser.

Over this period our bottling capacity grew from 2,500 to 15,000 per day.

What’s more, we managed to fill, label and distribute around 300,000 bottles of high quality hand sanitiser, formulated with a skin conditioning agent to NHS Scotland.

The pandemic also gave us opportunity to develop an idea which had been brewing for some time…the reuse of plastic bottles.

At the height of the pandemic there was a global shortage of plastic bottles for hand sanitiser.

We suggested that empty used plastic sanitiser bottles be collected, washed and reused!

The idea caught on and resonated with Zero Waste Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and others, and so we were able to begin developing the Redeem Exchange programme.
