Our Business Model

How it works:

Trade Right Trust is a Scottish Registered Charity and resposible for overseeing that Trade Right International is being managed in a responsible way by the directors they assign.
TRT also ensures that surplus profit from TRI reaches the appropriate communities to provide aid and development.  This will  be in consultation with Trade Right Trust Ghana.
TRT also helps with supportive awards to volunteers and staff of TRT to help them with transitioning into their community.

Trade Right International is a Community Interest company currently working in Scotland.  TRI has established a skin care manufacturing business and an employability programme.
Employees are paid a living wage  and supported to help them transition from a difficult stage in their lives to becoming valuable members of their community.
Surplus profits from Trade Right International are paid to Trade Right Trust, who then consider the projects it should be used for in Ghana.

Trade Right Ghana is registered as a limited company in Ghana.  It has a Ghanaian Country Leader who is responsible for supporting the women within their co-operatives, organising the export and sale of shea butter and shea nuts and ensuring clear communication with Trade Right International and Trade Right Trust
